The Angela Fleischman lab at UC Irvine is dedicated to understanding the pathogenesis of myeloproliferative neoplasms  (MPN or MPD) which includes polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, myelofibrosis). Our focus is on the role of inflammation in MPN.

Bri went to Cal State Fullerton for her undergraduate degree in Cellular Biology and received her Master's Degree from UCI in Biotechnology. As a Ph.D candidates, Bri is interested in the mechanism by which Jak2VF stem cells outcompete normal stem cells to expand in the context of chronic inflammation. She is also interested in therapeutics that can help patients with MPNs.
